UW’s Information Technology (IT) Professionals Conference is going virtual! This year’s Virtual IT Professionals Conference takes place June 4-5, 2020. This is a conference created by IT professionals for IT professionals and more. All are welcome to join. Register online and join in the celebration of the UW IT community.
The conference is spread over two days and recorded sessions will be available the week leading up to the conference to allow attendees to maximize their opportunities to participate and view a variety of live interactive sessions and recorded sessions on a wide range of topics from all over campus— everything from AWS to yoga sessions! Keynote Speaker Mary Poppendieck will be kicking off the conference, looking at 50 years of Digital Technology: What’s Important, What Changes, What’s Next. The finale of day one is Benedikt Riedel of IceCube with a presentation on a project so cool, it’s Antarctic.
In addition to the presentations, the conference provides opportunities to network and build strong relationships across campus. The conference wraps up on Friday, June 5 with an IT Happy Hour. Let us raise our glasses and celebrate the talented IT professionals that are all around us.
Do you have a cool project or unique insights that you want to share with our community? It is not too late to submit a proposal to present. Some very talented people have compiled speaker resources to make your presentation pop, and every presenter will have a committee member individually work with them to offer assistance.
